Hi all,

If we go for upgrade oif PI 7.1 from XI 3.0.Do we need to make any chnages in PI 7.1 in order to meke it SOA compatible. If so,What are the chnages i should make.

I know that there is no need of making chnages in IR and ID if we need to just upgrade to PI7.1

My only doubt is what are the main things we need to coinsider if we want to go with SOA.How can be that helpful to me.Please give me with an example.

Hi,

The following things are required for migration:

1) There is no change in IR and ID objects migration.

2) All adapter modules need to adjust

3) All Java proxies, we have to redeploy.

Check these URLs for more use cases:

Hi Harsha,

Apart from what is given above i would like to add you would face a problem if you use RFC's/Idocs which are custom made but start with characters other than 'Y'or 'Z' (Y & Z are kept by SAP for customisations ) are registered with SAP through special licensing requirements. These componets and related interfaces mess up the BPM and these need to be taken care through the spl migration route.

Above mentioned scene is rare but nevetheless.
