Java preview CE711 AS

Hi

I finished insatllation this preview AS and all went well so that the application even ran smoothly

after the installation. When I returned a day later and tried to start the server again I was asked for

the OS password. I entered it but the server responded with 'Invalid Credentials'

What can be done??

Hi Yuval,

You need to give the OS login credentials including the domain. Try to log in with the same credentials which you used to install the CE711

e.g.

userID SAPIND\yuval.peery

password yourOSpwd

I added a password to OS and it works.

Do you know where to get the hardware key for this java server from?

I run the system on Windows XP.

To deploy my app I guess I also need to tweak the SDM?

Hi Yuval,

To configure CE server you need to your server details in:

Window -> Preferences -> SAP AS Java -> Click on Add New System -> IP Address (or hostname e.g. localhost) and instance no 00.

You can gget IP address like this

Go to command propmt Start-> Run enter cmd click OK -> type ipconfig and then press enter.

You can see teh IP address there.

In SAP MMC also you can see hostname and java server instance.

Hi,

Do you know where to get the hardware key for this java server from?

This will found in the NWA --> Configuration Management --> Licenses here you can get the Hardware Key details..
