In MII version 12.0 and earlier the iChart applet is capable of up to 32 different Y-Axis ranges, but with a stipulation of only one at a time. The scale changes color and values (when using individual pen scales and not global of course) to say synchronized with the selected Pen in the legend. This allows the user to interact with the applet at runtime, selecting different pens and seeing the corresponding Y-Axis color and range.
MII version 12.1 (entered ramp-up late Dec 08 - see sticky thread at the top of the forum for more info) introduces multiple concurrent Y-Axis capability to the iChart, where they can be on either the left, right, or both sides of the chart area.
