Dear kb,
Are you having enough space in your device? Post your trace file for more info. Have you added entries from WebConsole and removed entries in WebDynpro (delete from device) subsequently. Are you assigning (add entries) manually or by a customized role assignment? There might be a clash some where if you are having enough space in device. In general you will need atleast 20-30 mb free space for a minimal xMAM installation on PDA.
Please mark the question as answered if my or others' post solved your question.
Regards,
Veera
Edit:
If it was a port error, he would not have been able to synchronize at the first place. I feel it is something else.

Port 8000 is the general abap stack http port for server with system number 00(to be used with MI client if ABAP sync was configured). Port 50000 is the general Java stack http port for server with system number 00 (to be used in MI client if MI server was configured with Java sync - old technology).
Hi,
Please check the port you have given in your MI client settings. Usually the port 8000 is used. Also if you are accessing from an external network check your webdispatcher.

Dilip
