Hi Jospeh

This is actually a basis question.

You can create them via su01 -> under logon data -> select user type -> select dialog or service or communication users.

Dialog user is for dialog login. all end users are dialog users

communication is used for rfc and jcos where communication is between systems.

service users the password do not change and is not used for dialog login.

##

Here is the detail explanation

Dialog

Individual, interactive system access.

System

Background processing and communication within a system (such as RFC users for ALE, Workflow, TMS, and CUA).

Communication

Dialog-free communication for external RFC calls.

Service

Dialog user available to a larger, anonymous group of users.

Reference

General, non-person related users that allows the assignment of additional identical authorizations, such as for Internet users created with transaction SU01. No logon is possible.

If you need more information let me know.

Hello Joseph,

Major difference b/w dialog and service user is that you never have to reset password of service user when logging into r/3.

Apart from that password of service user never expires.

Communication user is used for RFC's or JCO connections

specifically for GRC : set SPM users with user type 'Service' and implement note 992200 (: prevents direct log on)
