Installation of BI-JAVA stack when BI-Production is already live

Hi,

As per the BI 2004s , to use the Web functionality of BI 7 (Like Bex Web designer,pdf etc) BI-JAVA stack is alaso required either on the same server or in the different server. But our BI production server is already ready and live . My doubt is :

Do we need to install everything again like BI-ABAP etc .

Or we can install BI-JAVa stack on the same server without being hit BI-Production server as reinstallation will not possible as of now.

Please suggest the steps to do it.

Could you be more specific on this Add in Installation . would appreciate you if you can give me the link from where i can download BI Add Java addins.

Hello Akash,

The JAVA add in installation as well as BI JAVA instance will be available with the installation source of SAP NetWeaver 7.0. You can find this option under select components option in the installation master DVD. You can download the installation master, export, java DVD from the SAP Software download center.

You can install the JAVA application server as Add-in installation in the same server. Also make sure you select the option BI Java instance when you install it.

I think you can install just th BI-JAVA stack alone and make sure it is on the latest SP. You need not install BI-ABAP again.
