download visual composer

Hi i am new to visual composer..can any one suggest me from where to download it and what are the requirements for it..what things need to be there in system or installed before installing vc

Hi Piyush,

TO DOWNLOAD VC ->

Click on the given link and follow the following steps:

1. Enter your OSS Credentials

2. Expand the 'Download' node on the left-hand side frame.

3. Expand the 'Support Packages and Patches' node.

4. Click on 'My Company's Application Components' Link

5. Click on the 'SAP NETWEAVER' link on the right-hand side frame.

6. Click on 'SAP NETWEAVER 04' Link

7. Click on the 'Entry by Component' link

8. Then click Visual Composer -> Visual Composer6.0 -> Windows Server on IA32 32bit -> MS SQL SERVER

9. Now save as target the VC Patch you want to download.

I downloaded Visual Composer 6.0 from the above link. When I attempt to install it, it gives a problem connecting to the SQL Server instance. I am running SQL Server locally on the same machine where I want to install VC. I left the default values as is, like default tcp/ip port=1433, DB name=VCDB, and supplied the userid/password for the sa account.

On clicking "Next", The error seen is "Failed to connect to database server. Verify connection details". On viewing the log file, it shows

"[DBNETLIB]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.[DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen (Connect())."

I have checked that I am supplying the correct password for the sa account. Has anyone seen this problem before?

Hi,

when i am downloading vc from service market place...it is giving me only MS SQL SERVER option but i m using oracle database for portal and r3. So can i install this vc ?

Hi Amit,

If you want to use VC6.0 you are bound to use MS SQL as VC server doesn't support any other database for repository

Is Visual cmposer is not freeware. As it is asking for username and password.Is there anyplace i can download instead of marketplace.

Visual Composer is not freeware. Therefore, you must use your customer or partner login information on ServiceMarketplace to download it.

Now Visial Composer is coming with part of "Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver <b>04s SP7</b> (Full Java Edition <b>2004s</b>

)". You can download it from sdn.sap.com at Download section.

While this is true, the Visual Composer version available for download on SDN comes with absolutely no support (I can't tell you about the rest of the products in that package download). That version of Visual Composer is specifically for just a few select Ramp-Up customers who passed through a screening process.
