How to prevent a file being Printed/ Saved/ Taken Screen Shots?

Hi All,

I have created a portal in Web DynPro Java. Here I have created the functionality of getting the file(s) uploaded into the File Server (Oracle Server here) and the same can be accessed by the End-User(s), but only to VIEW and NOT TO Save/ Print / Take Screen Shots. How can I do it? Is there any way to have control over the DLL file(s) of the Operating System (MS Windows here), and then prevent these to happen?

Plz give a comprehensive idea to this.

Hi Piyush,

As far as taking Screen shot is concerned you cannot disable it. If it is viewable in the screen then screen shots can be taken. Webdynpro is running on the server. It does not have access to your operating system files. So manipulating operating system files on client is out of the question using Webdynpro.

You can display your contents the contents of the files in a pdf which cannot be Printed or Copied. That is a possibility using Webdynpro.
