Hi Kumar,

The main difference between the sales order and the rush order is that the rush order has immediate delivery creation.Here the customer places the order and collects the items immediately.However the customer is invoiced later.

The system automatically creates the delivery when the order is saved.

But in the case of our standard order after creating the order we have to create the delivery separately and then billing.

Hi Kumar,

coming to customization in between SO(Rush order) and OR(Standard order).

Go to VOV8 T.Code.

The Rush order has the details as "Under Shipping tab",

There will be "X" mark in the immediate delivery .

the Rush order will be having the order related billing.

But the Standard order can be either Order related or Delivery related.

In Standard order after creating the order we are going to create the order we are going to create the delivery by using "VL01n" T.Code.After that we are going to create the billing by using "VF01" T.Code.

rush order the lead time to have the finished goods in hand shud be zero and delivery shud immediately follow the sales order. in Sales order lead time, availability check are all taken into acount to calulate the delivery date wheras this does not happen in rush order

Hi,

The Rush order will have immediate delivery check where as the standard order doesn't have.That means delivery should be created as soon as you save the sales order.

THe main customization is under Shipping data check the box for immediate delivery and under billing maintain order relvant billing type for Rush order.

Hi

Rush order the immediate delivery switch is configured as X create delivery immly if the qty is confirmed which created delivery up on saving the order

For normal order OR we keep this switch as blank in the sshiiping data tab

For rush order the lead time in VOV8 should be maintained strictly as zero and for standard order you can keep lead time if you wish
