Need to change the Approver from the Mr.X to Mr.Y

hi,

User had created a SC and it is having status Awaiting Approval from Mr.X.

Now User wants to change his Approval Person to Mr.Y who is not even in his Department. or else who doesnot come under his department.

i need to change the approver to MR.Z for all SC which are pending now

kindly guide me how to perform this activity

1) you can manually forward the workitems from the inbox of X to Y.

2) you can ask X to create substitution to Y so that the workitems in the inbox of X are visible to Y.

If X is on leave then this option is not possible, then you can go for Option 1.

3) There should be an option where approver can be replaced in the SC.. But i guess it has to be done for each and every SC.

what is the option to maintain the approver for each SC(line item wise) and how it is maintained

your guess is correct Mr.X is on Leave and we dont have any access to his inbox or his ID.

any alternate through Org Structure where we can solve this

Go to SWI5 give Type as "US" and Id as "user id of X".

select Type of Analysis as "Work Items to be completed" and execute it..

You get the list of workitems in the inbox of Mr X.

Double clicking on each workitem takes you to the workflow log. From there you can forward the workitems from X inbox to Y Inbox.

Hope you have got enough authorization in production to do the above.

If i am not wrong, the Creator of the SC should be able to change/replace/add approvers for the Cart.
