Hi,

Can you please explain how exactly does this function order shift works in scheduling of work orders?

Hi,

Order shift basically means that if & when you change the basic dates of the order being executed, then the system will consider the new basic date for scheduling purposes, rather than the actual dates entered so far.

For eg:

If the intial basic date of the order was 11-02-09, and then while processing the order you have changed the basic date to 12-02-09, then the system will schedule the order considering this particular date( 12-02-09).

So if you have order shift then the system will schedule the order in this manner.

hi vishnu,

the example explained is for scheuduling type - forward scheduling and the reverse for backward scheduling

where if u enter order end date then order scheduled end date takes this into consideration and calculates the order scheduled start date .

So calculation also depends on scheduling type ...
