How to configure user for Deployment from NW Desktop Env into NWDI ?

Dear Netweaver experts,

I try to deploy a Web Dynpro Java application onto a fresh NWDI.

On that NWDI there has been configured a user for that purpose.

My problem is that I can't configure a user within my Netweaver 2004 Desktop Environment for deploying

onto the NWDI. In all my older NWDIs I had the administrator password and deployed without setting a user name and using the admin password. But for the new NWDI I have to use another user.

I did not find any possibility to configure the user name.

Do you know where to configure it ?

Dear SAP experts,

the problem is solved.

I made 2 mistakes :

1. I took the wrong port (not the SDM port).

2. I did not use the correct SDM password.

I used an NWDI system becaue it is a test and "playing" configuration.

What versions of NWDS and NWDI are you talking about? Why are you deploying to your NWDI system anyway? Don't you have any other runtime systems?
