J2EE status info unavailable

Hello,

we have a training/demo SAP system running 2 instances: "SOL" for Solution Manager 4.0 and "ERP" for ERP 6 IDES.

SAPgui access to both instances is fine, but portal access is not working anymore (I don't know when the problem first appeared but it has been working for several months).

I get the problem when:

1) From IE, pointing to http://itmil-sap:50400/irj/portal I get an error, because it is not possible to display the web page.

2) From SAP management console:

- "SOL" instance is all green

- "ERP" instance has a yellow icon on "ITMIL-SAP 4"

msg_server.EXE is running

dis+work.EXE Running, Message Server connection ok, Dialog Queue time: 0.0 sec, J2EE status info unavailable

igswd.exe is running

It looks like the Java instance is not starting. What can I check ?

Just in case ...this might be memory problem....

Did try to increase your Virtual memory? , Also check the SAP recommendations for Bootstrap memory(parameter name - bootstrap.MaxHeapSize) size and Heap size in the config tool of j2ee instance as per your SAP instance and restart your instance.

Hi to All,

the problem was due to a missing folder (
ITMIL-SAP\sapmnt\ERP\SYS\global\security\lib\tools).

I just copied it from the other sap instance (that is:
ITMIL-SAP\sapmnt\SOL\SYS\global\security\lib\tools) and it seems working.

I'll check for some time in case of hidden problems, but it seems ok ( green icons in SAPMMC, I could log in the portal).

I'll let you know.

In my case the database owner for the java schema (SAPSR3DB) had expired. I have reset the password using brtools and now jack stack is starting correctly.
