Dear All,
Is it possible to install SAP to the External Hard drive? I tried to install it in External hard disc. But it is giving some error after completion of installation full process. If it is possible please let me know.

it is possible but not a good idea to install into an external hard drive.

No reason why not -- If the hard drive is fast enough.
I'm actually running a whole XP virtual machine with a SAP system on it an a WD passport external USB drive on a laptop. My Primary OS is Windows 7 Beta 64 bit version with vmware workstation installed.
The USB hard drive doesn't need a separate power supply, is portable enough and I can just plug into a USB port and run. Performance issues are not normally of primary importance whne running these type of applications on an individual laptop.
The preview stuff is only a TEST environment --usually single user so why not use an external hard drive -- if there's any problem then you haven't got to mess around with the primary disk on a computer.
