Hi,
I have to place a link on a intranet page which opens the installed SAP GUI on the client PC with a specific transaction.
(not the WebGUI, no enterprise portal scenario)
So I tried two things:
1. I tried to use the ITS with parameter GUIType=WInGUI => dosn't work
2. When I place a link file created with the SAPGUI (*.sap) in can be opened but the web browser always asks for Save or Run the file. To solve this I tried to add the Mime Code of the File (application/sap I think), but it doesn't work.
Do you have an idea how to solve this or is there another possibility to implement such a functionality.
Kind Regards,
Christian
hi,
SAP doesn't provide SAPGUI for Windows service via web. But you can try to install SAPGUI for Windows on Distribution Services so that user can install SAPGUI for Windows via network sharing.
For more information, you can look on my blog here (http://sapbasis.wordpress.com/2008/10/21/sapgui-for-windows-installation-from-sapgui-distribution-server/)

Hi Ardhian,
thanks for your response, but I think there is a misunderstanding.
I don't want to start a webgui which is then running via web. I want to have a link or something like that, which starts the locally installed SAP GUI Application.
Nevertheless I will check your blog for some additional informations.
Kind regards,
Christian
