MDM 3.0 Web UI is not accessible

Hi MDM-Catalog Experts,

we have a problem with the access of MDM 3.0 from our SRM 7.0 System.

We tried to access the Web UI configuration with the browser. The server sends a login screen. We fill in the servername press connect and get an internal server error 500

It seems to me that we have an issue with the deployment of the components...

we deployed SRM_MDM_CAT 3.0 SP1 successfully but MDM_JAVA_API is still on 5.50 SP6 and MDM_WEB_UI is on 550 SP5

we tried to find out which component to deploy but did not find anything. Does anybody have a clue?

(The MDM Server is running, we have access to the Server with the MDM-tools)

I think this is the issue. It should be 7.1.

SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 is based on NetWeaver MDM 7.1.

Yes, that's what we thought, too. We had a close look at the installation CD again and deployed the JAVA API in Version 7.1 which is mandatory and not optional (wrong information in inst. guide) if you try to start the Utility page for a connection test. Additionally we deployed the change tracker that contains the WD UI. And finally MDM Catalog 3.0 is working.

MDMJAVAAPI00_0.sca

MDM_WEB_UI.sca

SRMMDMCAT01_02.sca

I believe you may have 2parts UI

one is server

another one is

login

repository and user name

Did you connect give correct repository name?

the Server part is ready for input, the login part with the repository area is grey all fields are empty and not accessible.

Type the servername and connect and you may go to next part to select repository.

and can you ping the server?

Hi,

a ping to the server is possible. The error is shown directly after typing in the servername and pressing connect. I am not able to choose a repository.
