Delivery control

We are having one problem, For one particuler plant deliveries are creating before delivery date, and it's skipping some deliveries/customers due earlier.

For example: we have four sales orders 1, 2, 3, and 4.

*For first sales order system given*

Transportation plan date: 06/15/2008

Material available date: 06/15/2008

Loading date:06/15/2008

Goods Issue date:06/15/2008

Delivery date is:06/16/2008

Route is: 1 day.

*For the second sales order system given*

Transportation plan date: 06/18/2008

Material available date: 06/18/2008

Loading date:06/18/2008

Goods Issue date:06/18/2008

Delivery date is:06/19/2008

Route: 1 day.

we are creating deliveries in Background JOB, the system created delivery for second sales order before the delivery date:06/16/2008 before materil availability date, How it's posible? and it's skipped the first sales order. for the first sales order delivery was not created, first sales order delivery date is 06/16/2008.

The background job if usign VL10 C or any other transaction has a variant with selection dates falling betn. say 11.02.09 -21.02.09 , all the orders due for deliveries could be selected.

The orders would be ready for delivery when the stock arrives / gets produced in the plant, could you confirm if the stock was available in the second sales order case on the date of delivery creation Vis-a-vis first sales order.

thanks for ur reply, yes we are running job through se38 and we are selecting varient,

at the time of creating the deliveries we have stock in the plant but How it's posible? before the material availability date delivery creation. how we have to control the deliveryies before the delivery date and materil availability date.

Hi,

If you say that delivery is not to be created in advance than probably you can think of changing the variant , so that the selction dates is within a short range.

MAD in future does not stop from creation of deliveries as only a document no. gets generated , however the document can be delivered only when the stock is available and PGI is doen. Probably you can test manually of the same scenario , manually you can create delivery with MAD in future. THe delivery document still tells you the MAD date and planned PGI date ( coming from sales order ).

If you deliver manually --> on the item overview you will get planned and actual PGI time.

So document creation at earlier date is the issue with customer or something specific??

Hi,

I think you need to check whether delivery scheduling is active for the relevant sales order type.

Along with that if any transportation planning time is entered while configuring scheduling for either shippinng point or route.

So when material stock is available, system checks the transportation lead time and creates the delivery document at the earliest date.

thanks for your reply,

we are creating deliveries in Background JOB, the system creating deliveries for orders before the delivery date.

we are not maintain any pick pack time in the shipping point, transport palnig point and transit teme we maintained in the routs and transport planing point. but in the schdulins systme giving materila availability is 22/02/2009 system creating deliveries before the materila availability 19/02/2009, how it's possible.

I think you need to check whether delivery scheduling is active for the relevant sales order type.

I am not find the delivery schduling in sales order types. Please confirm where we can see this.
