Milestone Authorization

Dear Gurus,

My Scenario is like this ---

For my end user I want to give an authorization for Project definition, WBS Element, Network and Activity.

I have done this by the controlling following parameters in the role which is assigned to user -

WBS Element - Person Responsible

Network - MRP Controller

Activity - Work Centre.

Further I want to control on milestone on similar ways.

Requirement - User should not be able to create milestone either under activity or WBS element even though he has authorization for that particular activity or WBS element.

I am not able to do this by any combination in role maintenance.

Pl suggest me the how to achieve this.

How u r managing authorization to view the WBS user specific.

Hello

In the user role why don't you set the milestone authorization to only display and see..It may work

Dear Renihith,

I already tried with what u suggested.

But with that, I can not control the creation of milestone element under activity.

System still allows the creation of milestone....however once milestone is created and saved it appears only in display mode when project is opened next time.

But I want to restrict for creation of milestone at all.

Pl suggest if u have any further idea on the same

Hi parimal,

Do one thing, remove authorization of tcodes cn11 and cn12 from that perticular user id,with the consult ur basis consultant. I hope it will work.
