code group deletion in catalog 1

Hi experts,

My client have defined code group in catalog 1and in code group code has been assigned as core setting.Now in roll out phase in one plant they want different code group and at the same time They want to delete the code group which is not useful to that plant.

I can create code group but when i am trying to delete the existing CODE GROUP system is not allowing to do this, giving error code is being used you canot delete this

Pls suggest how to delete the code group.

Dear gajesh,

thanks a lot.I have gone through the SAP note, as per the note first we need to uncheck the usage indicator then we can delete the code.

but when i am running the QS48 report system is not unchecking the Usage can you pls suggest how to do it.

Dear Sandeep,

Pls follow the steps.

Go to SPRO----SAP ref IMGQM--Quality inspection-Inspection lot completion--Maintain Catalogs for Usage Decisions-----Edit selected sets.

1. Double click Edit selected sets.

2. Input Catalog as Usage decisions(3).

3. Enter Plant.

4. Press Enter till you receive Change view Slected sets-Overview.

5. Here see the status as 'Released' for the selected sets.

6. Change all the ststus from Released to Deletion flag.

Please go through the following notes also

1) Note 120493 - Catalogs: code cannot be deleted/created - Symptom

1. You cannot delete a code from a code group anymore. The system generates the following error message: "Code & is being used and cannot be deleted" (message number Q3221).

2) Note 391229 - Catalogs: usage indicator and deleting codes

3) Note 556218 - Usage indicator of codes not deletable

Please implement accordingly
