Problems with Barcode reader element in the Mobile UI Library

Hi

Is there a way to make the barocode reader element to work with pocket internet explorer..

If we are using other handscanners like other than Intermec and Symbol specified by the SAP,

how should we use this barcode reader UI element..

Please suggest us...

Hello Srikanth,

SAP NetWeaver Mobile for always connected supports the Intermec Browser or the Symbol Browser. There is no way to use Bacode scanners with the Pocket Internet Explorer. The reason is because the PIE does not understand meta tags which are used for peripherals.

But there is another option, you could also go with the Naurtech CeTerm Browser which is available for a large number of devices. This will enable you to use peripherals like Barcode.
