Hi all
I am setting up EWA.
I done basic configuraition through SPRO in solman.
I activate EWA in operation setup and then I set up SDCCN in SMSY --> Environment --> Solution manager Operation --> Administration SDCCN.
I can find Service Preparation Check and Maintenance Package so I create new task Refersh session.
Refresh session task finished but not create EWA session.
I checked two RFC destinations. that is OK.
RTCCTOOL is all green in solman.
my system is solman 4.0 SP14
st-pi 2008_1_700
st-api 01L_CRM570
st-ser 700_2008_1 lv 3
how can I create EWA session
any help
thanks
Hi,
1 The first you should check your SYSTEM NAME in transaction SMSY. you can checked assigned RFC destination in SMSY.
2 The problem was that the service definitions had been deleted on both systems but were not replaced. this meant that Solman could not create correctly EWA sessions and satellite systems could not understand correctly that EWA had benn create. pls see note 727998. this note can help you.

Hello,
Here are the steps for EWA generation on SolMan.
1. Ensure you have /nsmsy configured for the satellite system concerned in solution manager.
2. Ensure you have generated the _BACK connection from solution manager so that it exists in the satellite system.
3. Ensure /sdccn is configured in the satellite system.
4. Create a logical component for the system in solman.
5. In /ndswp, create a solution for the EWA.
6. Link the logical component into the Solution just created.
7. Define the EWA execution time.
8. On the satellite system, execute sdccn and run the maintenance job.
This should pull the EWA session into the satellite system, then either give it time or run it now.
Always a bit fiddly to start with, but you'll soon get the hang of it.
Cheers.
Hi,
Check [this SIM file|https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700006936042005E.sim] file.
In step 19 of this sim file you can see Session, if you don't get that in your system, click on create service button.
This should solve your problem.
Feel free to revert back.
