Vendor change

Hi

Scenario is , we had defined a Product with vendor1 and now vendor1 has been changed to vendor2. ( Due to acquistion).

How to change the vendor(already defined while creating software product) in Software catalog ?

Please give your suggestions.

Hi Piyush,

Log in to SLD and click on Content Maintenance.

Select the following:

1. Subset = Landscape Description

2. Class = Installed Product

Click on your Vendor1 Product. Then click on the button Move. In this screen Change the Prroduct Vendor Paremeter to your new Vendor2 and save it. This will create the same Product with Vendor2. Later You can delete the first entry with Vendor1.
