Hi

What is then the difference between:

a) update SAP NetWeaver 2004s to EhP1

b) upgrade SAP PI 7.0 to SAP PI 7.1

Read difference between NetWeaver and PI, you will understand easily, there are many Articles available on these in SDN.

a) update SAP NetWeaver 2004s to EhP1

NetWeaver is a base platform for all SAP tools, and EhP1 is enhancement pack for the NetWeaver platform.

b) upgrade SAP PI 7.0 to SAP PI 7.1

SAP PI 7.1 is an upgraded version of PI 7.0 (only PI)

Hi sukarna,

Thanks for your reply ! Even to upgrade PI from 7.0 to 7.1, do we need Enhancement package ?

Bye the way I heared from PI7.1 Version onwards all the SP's will be called as "Enhancement Packages " ? Is this correct ?

update SAP NetWeaver 2004s to 2004s EhP1 = PI7.0=>PI7.01

upgrade SAP PI 7.0 to SAP PI 7.1 = PI7.0=>PI7.1

upgrade SAP PI 7.1 to SAP PI 7.1 EhP1 = PI7.1=>PI7.11
