Automatic batch number allocation is inactive or not allowed-Batch Manageme

Hi,

When i try to do Post goods issue, the error message is " batch doesn't exist". When i give some value from table MCHA its is giving the same message . Is this happening because the batch is already consumed? when i try to create a batch using tcode MSC1N i get the message "Automatic batch number allocation is inactive or not allowed". How can i solve this? Can some one through light on Batch Management? Thanks in advance.

Hi Bhaskar,

Could you please check in the material master in batch management is active for that material or not.
