SSO Configuration to SAP GUI for windows

Hi Experts ,

Am trying to configure SSO between EP and SAP GUI for windows but i couldn't.

i gave all the parameters gateway,message server and webas hostname and port name etc.

when i am testing the SSO from portal it's giving below error message.

ERROR:service '?' unknown

release 710

component NI(network interface),version 39 rc=-3,detail NiErrset

Hi,

First of all you will or you can not use SAP Gui for windows to login to the portal.

Secondly Do you want to do sso between portal and your windows active directory?

Or do you want to establish sso between your portal system and the R/3 system?.

We are establishing the SSo between Portal and R/3 system only.

what is the solution for the above error message.

Hi,

Have you added the backend system in your portal?

Did you import the create the keypair ticket in your portal system and import that certificate in the portal system?(STRUSTSSO2 tcode in the backend system for importing the portal certiticate)

have you maintained the logonmodule required for SSO.

Hi Friend .

I have successfully implemented the SSO for ECC GUI and Portal.

Connection string details were not correct.
