Path of SAP Server

Hi experts,

I'm new to DMS.

I have a doubt, I am using a document type DRW for which the SAP standard settings are available.

In my SAP server there are different partitions available, I want to store the documents in a seperate partition say E:\.

In IMG - Define Data Carriers, in Vault I have mentioned the path in Vault path.

after this, When I'm creating the document I have mentioned the new document from my local PC and checked in, system is givin error message at this point saying E:\ C:| document and settings\desktop\test.doc cannot be opened.

Can you please help me why this error message is coming.

And how to specify the partition of SAP, as the file which ever I'm loading should store in that location?

check the customization setting

Cross-Application Components --> Document Management -->General Data -->Settings for Storage Systems

I have one more doubt, how the link is established between the documet type and the storage system?

I chacked in the document type, I didnt find anything storage system.

Because, SAP has given somany storage systems, now I'm confused in which storage system I need to change the path.
