Dear Experts,
While i am trying to assign sampling procedure for a characteristic in tasklist, the sampling procedure in the list shown in inspection plan : characteristic overview. I think is not assigned for the link between the sampling pro. & tasklist.
Can anyone help on this how to do it?
VRMP.
Hi V,
The control indicators for the inspection characteristic should have Sampling procedure indicator as active, which will automatically prompt you for the Sampling procedure. Hope this is what you are missing. Let me know in case of any query.

Dear Keerthi,
Control indicators active only. I have created a sampling pro. and trying to assign the same for a characteristic in Inspection plan. Sampling pro is selectable in characteristic overview screen in Inspection plan. All sampling pro are available except one.
How to add the same in the selectable list? I hope now its clear.
VRMP.
Hi V,
This depends upon the Inspection points indicator in the Sampling Procedure which you're using.
For eg., if it is for Calibration than you need to active the Plant Maintenance indicator in the Inspection points of Sampling Procedure.
Also, check the Inspection points field in the Inspection Plan header.
Let us know if the issue is resolved.
Regards,
Keerthi.

Dear VRMP
Please let me know the following
1) Whether MIC is quantitative / qualitative
2) Valuation type chosen
3) Sampling type chose
4) Whether sampling scheme is used
Also try this one
1) Create quantitative MIC with sampling procedure chosen
2) create sampling procedure with fixed sample and valuation as Manual valuation
3) Do not select free inspection point in Sampling procedure
4) attach the MIC in QP01 and assign the sampling procedure for the same
Let me know whether this works

Dear VRMP
Just checking
Let me know if you have created sampling procedure with free inspection point tick and if you are trying to assign this to inspection plan wihtout inspection point then this sampling procedure might not appear in the list
Check it viceversa. if you are trying to assign an inspection plan with inspection point with a sampling procedure which is having no selection for free inspection point sampling procedure might not appear in the list

Dear Gajesh,
I had a try without inspection points & with free inspection points also.
but, it throws error.
Diagnosis
The sampling procedure cannot be used. This may be due to one of the following reasons:
The sampling procedure:
is locked
does not fit the characteristic type
does not fit the inspection point indicator in the plan header
Procedure
Select another sampling procedure.
VRMP.
Hi
1. Check the control indicator of relevant characteristic whether it is set to use sampling procedure.
2. Also relate sampling procedure with characteristic type (i.e. qualitative or quantitative) to comply with each other. (Say if you had set a sampling procedure to record attributes from Catalog 1, then control indicator of relevant qualitative characteristic should also be set to record)
3. Now you will see, the required sampling procedure appearing in the lookup
