Hi,

what do you mean?

you want to add object to BASIS software component for test?

if so check (inside IR where you define namespaces)

if:

Objects Are Modifiable, Objects Are Original Objects are set correctly

Objects Are Modifiable:

"When set, this attribute enables you to change objects in the software component version. Use this attribute to lock all objects against changes, if required."

Hi Michal

I WANT TO ADD software component as a basis object in another software component.

So i can use data type defined in those SWC in single SWC directly.

aaaa

so you want to use dependencies

have a look at my weblog then:

/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/08/26/xi-are-you-independentfrom-your-dependencies

BTW

>>>as a basis object

call it dependent object in the XI - will be more clear

Hi Michal,

As in xi, after creating dependencies, we will get other software component as Basis Objetcs. That's why i used that term.

Thanks for the clarification.

Hi Michal,

There are two options for dependency context,

one is installation time and another one is design time.

If dependecy context is Design Time then what will happen.

hi,

I have no design time

(only <b>build time</b> and <b>installtion time</b>)

use installtion time

AFAIK

buildtime is used by SAP only - for now at least

michal
