Hi gurus,
What is the relation between AFS Grid determination and Revenue acct determination?
Pls explain me.
Regards,
T.Murugu
Hi
AFS Grid determination this is almost the same as variant configuration in R3
Say a product maruthi car has 4 models 800,zen,esteem,1000 and say it has 4 colours red blue and green and yellow
Then there are 16 different combinations possible
These 16 different combinations possible are represented as GRID like structure (a graph) fo facilitate the system to choose the right combination and produce accordingly
Grid is a graphical representation
This example i have told for 16 possible combinations
But in AFS a minimum of 100 + combinations will be there for each and every product and as you know AFS is appareal and foot wear which includes fashion things and more dynamic and lot many combinations will be there
hence in AFS industry vertical Grid is used which is a graphical representation
Revenue account determination is self explanatory used in all modules and all verticals
Hope this clarifies your doubt
Regards
Raja

Apparel and Footwear Industry is based on the size of the product .AFS introduced a creative method of solving this problem. This is by using grid conversions/determinations. We will maintain grids internally as we identify them. But displayed grid values will differ based on the Customer, Supplier or Material. This requires maintaining the grid determination/conversion in the customizing. Here in customizing all the conversions will be maintained for Customer, Vendor and Material. Then we have to make the conversions available for particular customer, supplier and material in master data maintenance. If all three are maintained system will take the Customer as the first preference then the vendor and material in last and grids will be displayed.
