Organizational Structure

Dear Guru's,

I want to map the following organizational structure in sap.

Ther is one factory and 10 depots. I have defined 11 plants differently each for factory and depots also. Now while creating sales area, Is it better to create to factory sales area and depots sales area seperately (or) better to go with region wise sales area such as east, west, north and south.

If i go region wise both factory people and depot people can access the same order types. Presently we are trying to go in this way,but i am confused thinking about sales order creation.How the delivering plant will be selected automatically.

Hi CS,

It is always advisable to create sales areas on regional basis.

Secondly regarding auto determination of plant in sales order, system searcheds the plant in following sequence.

Customer material info record.

Customer mater record.

Material master.

If it does not found in all of the above, You have to input the plant manually.

Even if system proposes the plant automatocally, you have an option to change the same in sales order.

Regards
