Hi,
I took the backup of our server using BR Tools to disk . Now i have ianstall the new server for same the took the backup server(Example- Server name and database name for same).Now i transfer the backup data to new installing the server location . So now i want to restore and recover the database using BR Tools . So any command or syntax is there, Our SAP Version ECC5.0, database Oracle 9.2 and OS windows 2003 server.So kindly help me the for this issue.

I had already took a backup of the Development server and i would
like to know is it possible to restore the backup to another pc
which is not of the same configuration of the Development
server .Development server domain name numericdev i have given the same name. Please guide the external backup restoration purcedure.

Yes - it is.

That is no problem - you will "just" need to adapt the script you create during the system copy to reflect your filesystem layout.
Just read the guide and follow the procedure for doing a copy using backup/restore.

Thanks for your reply. My requirement is backup restoration fot the external SAP backup via BR Tools only. As per your advice I will go through the link http://service.sap.com/systemcopy, this only system copy. my requirement only Database restore and recover option not in system copy.

We have gothroughed the () link.But I try to backup restore option via brtoos. I have changed the initSID.ora file path for E:sapbackup . I am try to backup restoration option but fatal error displayed.
Oracle installation Path: D drive.
External backup store the Path: E drive.
I have mentione below for the Error message.

You did not change the init<SID> filepath but you deleted everything else:

you need to add everything if you need to change this path (so "-p initTRG.sap -t complete.... etc.)

I can open that page nicely by clicking on it so it must be something on your side.
