Hi,
could you please explain me the about program id in configuring sender RFC communication channel.
Regards,
Nagarjuna.
hi,
when you configure rfc destination in your R/3 for the XI then you have to mention there the progrm id.
The exactly same program id has to be mentioned in the rfc sender communication channel.
You have to first cerate the sender communication channel and then register that program id in R/3 and use the program id in the RFC Destinationn.
This program id only establishes connection between R/3 and xi.

Hi ,
The same question asked many times please search in sdn.dont post duplicate threads.
Program ID of the registered server program. The selected program ID must uniquely describe the RFC sender channel in the configured gateway (Application Server (Gateway) and Application Server Service (Gateway) parameters). Also this program where you execute your RFC function with specified RFC destination.

Hello,
ProgID is need when you want to send the Data to remote system via RFCs .
The progID has to be created in remote system which want to receive this data.
When executing RFCs you can see an option there destination where you need to provide progID create via SM59 and based on this communication /data will be sent to remote system which is listener.
progID is case sensitive before this you need to establish a connection b/n R/3 and other system(remote)
