Dear All,
I have query regarding the deletion of travelled trip.i.e after the trip has completed and it has been posted to FI and then if the trip is deleted by traveller how it is effecting the FI entries.
Thanks
giri
Hello Giri,
Trips that are posted to FI, cannot be deleted, they should be cancelled only. Trips that are not yet posted should be deleted and not cancelled. Only posted trips are relevant to FI or Payroll.

Hello Giri,
Yes there is big difference.
The "Cancel" button is only possible for trip that is already posted
in FI. If the trip is not yet posted or its in status settled or
to be settled than we advise that the trips should be deleted and not
canceled.
The basic source of the problem is, that before Release 46C, you were
able to cancel trips that had not been settled. Trips of this nature
should not have been allowed to be canceled but should rather be
deleted. The correction referred to in note 354983 will not allow you to
cancel non-settled trips in future rather, you will receive a pop-up
message prompting you to delete trips of this nature.
This is not a program error but this was done to avoid subsequent
errors (as described in the note) and to correct the initial faulty
handling of such trips.
The quintessence is:
Trips that are not to be settled are to be deleted and not canceled.

Raynard
Aside from PR05 are there any other ways to delete a trip?
We have associates entering expense reports through the portal. An associate had a computer issue and the trip never was never saved. I do not see the trip in PR05, however the trip was somehow given a number and the associate can not create a trip for this date range any longer. I would like to delete the first entry that occured, but I have no idea of where to delete it from since it is not displaying in PR05.
Thank you,
hi
i think the system will not allow to delete the trip. being its already posted to FI
but cancel will cancel the document created in FI (i suppose).
