Coding mask

Hi,

I have created a project coding mask -

PrjID as -ABCD and coing mask - /XXXX.XX.XXXX.XXXXXX.so my project definition will be

ABCD/TENS.10.01.

Now if i create a project with project definition as - ABC/TENS.10.01 , will it effect any of the

major operations?

Hi,

This will not imapct any existing projects as the new mask will be used for new projects. (Probably, you are raising this question, due to the prompt which you must have seen during transport).

The new project coding mask will not impact existing projects. Please note the same.

I suggest you to check with customisation in OPSK & OPSJ. Please select required tick which alllows to create project in the defined project coding mask only.

Because it is advisable to use that practice rather than defining something 4 character and using only 3 in your P.D.

That will help downthe line to user to identify the project as well.

Hi,

I checked, there is no space.But it is not displaying the coding mask in the Basic Data tab of Project definition.

I want to know will it effect any of the FI integrated transactions?
