ALE customizing question

I am studying the XI tutorial "How to create XI Content with the Integration Builder". Every step in XI is described in detail, but no details about what to do in the R/3 System.

Section 6.1 is saying that I must customize the SAP backend so that the backend system can send an IDOC to my external system. As I have little experience with SAP I do no know which transaction to use and in which order.

Please give some help.

The IDOC is MATMAS01. I have completed the definitions of my external system in the SLD. I already made a port using WE21. To do is defining the outbound scenario MATMAS01 from r/3 to External.

The following configuration required in SAP to create an IDOC and configure to XI system.

1. Create/identify the TWO logical systems one for R/3 and other for XI.

2. Define distribution model with BD64

3. Define RFC destination in R/3 for XI with SM59 tcode.

4. Create port using WE21.

5. Create partner profiles using WE20.

Testing:

6. Use BD10 to create a Material master idoc.

to know in detail about the various transaction code to customize the sap backend u can refer to this blogs

The combination of this two answers helped me a lot. The tutioral I have describes in detail what I must do in XI. I only missed the actions for the backend system.
