Returnable packaging

Hi All,

how to receive the Returnable packaging material from supplier and also how to issue it back to supplier. i think it can be done through MB1C 501M without reference to PO. i am looking to attach the RTP material to material doc where the main item is received(101movement)

hi,

how to do this: "i can issue RTP through normal sales order to customer,and can take it back by LA and return delivery, and can bill through LN-LF-F2 if customer does not return."

Because when I use LA, I get a Error: Material 00000000129 does not exist in storage location 664K 66G7

I just Receive this material to RTP special stock.

your reply is clear and would solve my problem..

i would like to know how RTP works from sales side.

i can issue RTP through normal sales order to customer,and can take it back by LA and return delivery, and can bill through LN-LF-F2 if customer does not return.

while issuing RTP material to customer, i would manually enter the RTP item along with the main item in sales order and create delivery for the same.

my dought here is how to pack the main item into an RTP item? since both are line items in delivery and if i go to pack option, system would display both main item and the RTP item in the list of materials to be packed. if i understand correctly i need to pack main item with RTP item.

please let me know if i am missing something or the process flow is different.

A)

If you want the outbound delivery's items to be packed automatically I think you have to use handling unit management. It is possible to generate packaging material item automatically on the delivery and this way you can manage the packaging material inventory.

The scenario mentioned by me based on HUM and returnable packaging function. Returnable packaging in sales (mentioned by you):

In this sceario you use customer special stock segment "V". I'm not sure this can be integrated with RTP.

Hi DT,

Yes, you can use MIGO 501M to receive and MIGO 502M to issue RTP (or MB1C instead of MIGO).

You can also do the GR for RTP material at the time of GR against a PO > MIGO > Goods Receipt > Purchase Order.

When the PO items appear and you can use the small "+" icon (above "Account assignment" tab) to add non-PO item (with mvt 501M) and when you click on save (post the GR) both PO items and non PO items (RTP) will be posted with the same material document.
