Attachments in Bids

Hi All,

We would like to send attachments to the bidder/vendor while creating a bid. However we are unable to attach files. We would like to understand:

1. If any configurations need to be made in SRM to activate attachments such that files are sent to bidder

2. Also do we need to make any settings in ECC

Kindly Note: We are working with SRM 5.0 on Classic Scenario.

I have not made any configurations for Attachments.

@ Sachin: Can you please provide the exact location of where I can fond the related documentation.

@ Muthu: I am not getting any error messages. When I click on the "Search and Add" button nothing is processed.

Hi Harish,

You can find the documentation in this node only.

SPRO>Supplier Relationship Management>SRM Server>Cross-Application Basic Settings>Define Settings for Attachments.

Before the node there is a image of notebook just click on that and you will find the documentation.

In the left bottom of the screen you may get an error message. can you check ?

please check do you have java runtime environement in your machine.

Hi,

You need not to do any settings just read the documentation of the node.

so that you can ask your BASIS guy to have all the necessary java instalations.

What error you get while attaching the document?

Hope that you installed Java in your machine.

Hi,

You have to make some settings in SPRO of SRM path as below

Supplier Relationship Management>SRM Server>Cross-Application Basic Settings-->Define Settings for Attachments.

and you can attach the documents in the header/item-->documents tab of BID Invitation.
