hi there,
i have a link in an email, which links to a application in WAS.
the user gets an POPUP where he has to enter Username and Passwort.
Above UserID there is a text "SAP Web Application Server [P02]" (P02 is my system)
does anybody know how to CHANGE this text ???

Hi,
It seems that you get the browser popup for Basic authentication. It's not possible to change it.
The "right way" to do it is to configure a logon application in SICF for your link.

Of course, if you accept to change the standard code in an ABAP stack, all becomes possible.
But it is far from a best practice !
I really don't know where this string is stored, you'll have may be to debug to know.
But I really think that the best way is to use a logon page. It's fully customisable, it's much more secure and it looks much more professional.
