Hi all
problem that Iam facing I just went into mobile applications for laptop , and created a simple component and tried to deploy and run it .
after deploying , it shows deplyoment sucessfull " please restart you device to make your settings effective".
after I run the application it is gving another message "No (Run) Launch configuration exists for this application"
how to run the appllications in the mobile client and ,
I think there need to have some specfic config for this. I am just trying with the local system, we thought of developing a simple application which do not require a back end connection or data fectching , this is just for testing wheter our client is installed properly.

Dear Muhammed,
Just right click the small MI client icon in system tray and left click start option. Now click on either the Start Menu or Desktop icon. Alternatively you can start up the server and monitor by going to your client installation directory, and then running /double clicking startserver.bat and startmonitor.bat. Then, click on startup.bat to start the client. This should start the client.
Note:
If you get a main class not found exception even after doing the above steps, then it is because of multiple jdks or corrupt jdk1.5 registry entries. Remove all jdks and reinstall the jdk 1.5.x you had earlier.
Regards,
Veera
Edit: Refer to my guide for initial post install configuration and to NWDS help for sample application. I hope you have updated your NWDS to the latest SP (SP07) or make sure you use SP5 mobile plugins.

Dear Muhammed Nishad,
You need the NWMClientSetup zip file from which you can extract all clients and plugins. To get the latest, search for this string NWMCLIENTSETUP07P_1-10004844 in http://service.sap.com/swdc. Refer the links I gave above for the different installation/configuration guides. For issues you may have with updating NWDS to the same SP level as the plugin (without which the Mobile Plugin will not function properly), you can refer to the following thread where I have troubleshot generic NWDS updating issues.
Also, if you want the NW Mobile Desktop Client with Max DB, refer to my article:
How to Install/Reinstall SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 Desktop/Laptop Client with MaxDB 7.6

Hi
Mobile webdynpro applications can be developed using Webdynpro java perspective, no additional configurations needed. But these are completely online, mobile browser based applications.
You just need to add some parameters to URL of webdynpro applications to run it in mobile browser.
For offline applications on PDA you have to use Mobile Applications for Handhelds perspective.
Thanks and Regards
Vidyadhar
