To supply data to the SLD that originates from a system other than a J2EE or ABAP system, the executable sldreg is used. The sldreg sends data in XML format using a predefined DTD. For this purpose it uses an HTTP connection.

Hi,
System Landscape Directory (SLD)
The System Landscape Directory is composed of the Component Repository and the Landscape Directory. The Component Repository includes a description of all SAP Components whereas the Landscape Directory includes a complete description of the actually installed SAP system landscape. It defines the various Software Components, Products, Technical System, Business System and the Logical System information.

Hi Naresh,
sldreg is a kind of Application Program which you can find from the SAP Marketplace, basicaly it is required to communicate between SLD and other systems (not in NW ).
as we can update SLD for a ABAP and JAVA system via RFC, HTTP call or by writing data to shared memory which can be transfered to the sld bridge by means of data supplier, for other system sldreg is required for the same.
Thanks
