Hi,

SAP EWA report gives the workload in terms of the low, medium, high activity users.

What we mean by low ,medium, high activity users in terms of workload.

Can we say that the high activity users have high think time between the screens or they are the users

who has experienced the high response time?

Kindly help us to understand this.

Also, How does one can corelate the performance with the No. of users.

Thx ,

DVRK

Hi,

Low Ocassional User:

An occasional user is logged on and consumes system resources. We assume that the occasional user accesses the system from time to time, fitting the work profile of an information user or an executive. From a technical viewpoint, this user typically performs around 400 dialog steps (equivalent to approximately 400 screen changes) per week. Assuming a working week of 40 hours, this amounts to ten dialog steps per hour or one every six minutes.

Medium ;

We assume that this user definition represents the work profile of accountants, clerks or office personnel. From a technical viewpoint, this user typically performs around 4,800 dialog steps per week. Assuming a working week of 40 hours, this amounts to 120 dialog steps per hour or one every 30 seconds.

High users:

We assume that this user definition represents the work profile of users in the telesales environment, data entry users or power users such as application developers. From a technical viewpoint, this user typically performs an average of around 14,400 dialog steps (screen changes) per week. Assuming a working week of 40 hours, this amounts to 360 dialog steps an hour or on every 10 seconds.

Hi,

In the answers above, the definition has been given by week.

Can anyone tell me the definition for the high medium and low by month?

after some try outs, we came to this, can anyone confirm? Or give the correct definition (+ where can u find this kind of information about the meaning of data in Solution manager)?

Low: 0-2600

medium 2600-300000

high: > 300000

Thanks,

Kristof

Hi Rama,

I was reading throught workflow.I came across few points on the basis of which we can clasiify the user.In the work item the user are defined on an organizational Hierarchial base.So it means that the roles of individual differs from on or the other.Which makes the usage of memory, application, transactions,Number of instances etc etc.Distribution of workload by transaction steps, transactions, packages, subapplications, and applications.Memory usage for each transaction or each user per dialog step .On the basis of these things we decide that user is high , low activity user. Now it depends from scenario to scenario. On which basis you want to classify the user. The transaction code to check all these is ST03.

Hope this information might be helpful to you.

Have a best day ahead.

Hello,

Definition is as follows:

The number of active users in the analysis period. Users are grouped depending on their transaction steps per week:

Category Transaction Steps

Low - Fewer than 400

Medium - 400 to 4800

High - More than 4800

Cheers!
