If you delete a component everything inside the component like, Windows, Views, custom controllers etc will get deleted. A Webdynpro component will have only one component controller and it is not possible to delete the component controller without deleting the entire component.

So your answer is yes. If you delete a component controller everything will stop working.

You cannot delete component controller individually as it is the default controller.

PS: If in case you can delete component controller individually (means you do not delete the component itself), then surely it is a bug, raise an OSS message (component BC-DWB-WD-JAV)
