hi
what is the defference between a sales order and service order
is service order is seperatly available in sales module or i need to create a service order from PM module ??
IF i can create a service order from custamor service then what will happen??
ie for a customer if i want to provide a services which order i need to raise??
A sales oder?? or any oreder type which is become service order in sales??
or againest a sales order i need to create a PM order or CS order?
if this is the case can i create a pm or cs order againest a sales order ie in back ground?
plz guide me

Hi,
From CS service order, we can create SD sales order credit memo / debit memo document.
SD sales order will be used for creating debit memo so as to use it as referance document for creating SD billing document.
PM notification can be configured such that SD order create button can appear there and can trigger SD debit memo document from PM service order.

is there any setting where we can create a service order in the back ground while creating a sales order ??
Is there any service which can be provided only on the basis of sales order.
ie any document type which identifie s the service material exclusively in sales order.
plz clarifie the concept
