DISPATCHER DOESNu00B4T START

Former Member
0 Kudos

Hi all,

We are installing SAP SOLMANAGER 7.0 coupled with Oracle DDBB on windows 2003 server edition.

We have configured parameters and checked them.

During the running of services, installation stopped because system checks java user (SAPJSF user) and it 's already created.

So we tried to logon to system in order to delete the user, but we are pretty unable to perform logging on due to the fact that dispatcher cannot start.

We have already restarted machine and application but unfortunately we are still facing the same problem.

We attach the developer trace in case you feel like having a look.

Hi Daniel,

You short of virtual memory at OS level but specified high velues in instance profile. Solution is either to increase OS virtual memory (RAM + SWAP ), since RAM is fixed you can increase swap space higer. you mentioned initial size of extended memory is around 8GB but not sure about other buffers so your virtual memory should able to hold all these memory areas else reduce your memory parameters and start system.

Thanks,

Kiran.

Hi Daniel,

Your log is showing that w0 to w9 are getting up and running, while creating w10 you are getting the error, could you please post the log of w10 from work directory.

Mean while you can delete all old logs(disp_W*) from work directory and restart your application. It should work.

Hi .Thank you very much for your answer.

I increassed memory, and I found Dispatcher seems to run correctly, with green lith and ok message, without errors in developer tracert. But when I try now to logon into the system to delete the java user, dispatcher stops, adding these error lines to developer tracert:

Hi,

You need to increase paging size which is 2GB to around 6GB.

Also check the parameter of extended memory em/initial_size_MB and make it 8192
