SAPEVT.EXE not found when importing a transport

Has anyone ever seen this error when importing a transport?

ERROR: File
sdcsaprd20\sapmnt\RD2\sys\exe\run\sapevt.exe not found. Background jobs cannot be started.

what are the resutls of the following commands?

As suggested, Upgrading kernel will help.

Hi ,

Event triggered background jobs will not be able to start if sapevt.exe not existing in kernel directory.

Its better u upgrade ur kernel.

sapevt.exe allows you to create events in the SAP system from the OS level. Download latest version of sapevt and extract files at \sapmnt\RD2\sys\exe\run\ directory to resolve the issue.
