I want to enable OCI interface for MDM (to use it in E-commerce application as product catalog).

Right now I just the MDM system and E-commerce app in standalone SAP J2EE server, what will I need to configure the system? Is Portal a necessary component to enable OCI?

Please help me.

Hi Deepak,

To perfrom an Open catalog interface to MDM you can do it by integrating MDM to the SRM system and then publish your master data as a Catalog on web using the OCI.

To know more on this integration kindly refer the below helpful links on the same:

Hope It Helped

Simona / Abhijeet,

Thanks for your input.

In my scenario I do not have SRM, I simply have,

"SAP E-commerce for ERP" connected to "R/3 system" and the Product Catalog is in MDM.

I read somewhere that we can use OCI interface to integrate Product Catalog into E-commerce application.

So in my case how do I enable OCI in MDM?

Would appreciate any pointer.

Thanks,

Deepak

Hi Deepak,

Download the SRM MDM catalog 2.0 business content.This contains a separate MDM server,GUIs ,a2a file,sca files .

Unarchive the SRM MDM repository(.a2a file)

deploy the sca files on WebAS.

on SRM side EBP configuration to be done (define external webservices)

Also assign the catalog to users in SRM

then using the URL

http://J2EE server:port/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM do the OCI mappings

then u can see the MDM catalog in SRM

U can refer note 1057316 .
