SAP 4.7 Installation error during DATABASE LOAD (POST PROCESSING)

Dear Gurus,

i am installing SAP 4.7 on windows 2000 professional (service pack 4) with oracle 9.2.0.1 with patch set 9.2.0.8. ( i installed the patchset using the setup icon, though i am unable to install the rest 2 patchset no. 7275120 and 7394394 as there is no set up files included in these folders. for ur information i have downloaded all these three patchset from SAP site itself.

after around 80 % installation of SAP database instance, I got error during DATABASE LOAD (POST PROCESSING), showing R3load jobs: running 3, waiting 22. the end portion of log file i am attaching here, pls help me to remove this error...

Hi,

This is the error i also faced.Once again take a dump copy of ur Export DVDs into your system and retry the installation.In my case it got resolved and hope it works in ur case too.

I did the fresh installation several time, still i am getting the error during the same phase (i.e. DATAbase load Post Processing). it's all abt the tablespace error?? I am atatching the SAP VIEW log file which is showing that job finished with 287 error(s).

SAP VIEW LOg FIle Location is:

every where it is saying a error of " table or view does not exist" (SQL error 942)

error message returned by DbSl:

Pls assist me to get rid of . i m in trouble. wasting my time from the last 15 days to resolve this...but not getting succes. its painful 2 stop the installation at this stage when i m near to finish it.

Just check the *dump or DVD's* using for installation

i have installed using C:\SAPinstORACLEKERNEL. with out the spaces and i am not using any DVD or CD for the installation as all files are in my local hard disk under shared folder IDES47.

Hi,

I did the fresh installation several time, still i am getting the error during the same phase (i.e. DATAbase load Post Processing). it's all abt the tablespace error?? I am atatching the SAP VIEW log file which is showing that job finished with 287 error(s).

SAP VIEW LOg FIle Location is:

every where it is saying a error of " table or view does not exist" (SQL error 942)

error message returned by DbSl:

Pls assist me to get rid of . i m in trouble. wasting my time from the last 15 days to resolve this...but not getting succes. its painful 2 stop the installation at this stage when i m near to finish it.

The problem is, that the R3load is trying to create a view on a table that is not existing. This usually happens if there are database problems or if someone fiddled with .TSK files manually.

The three tables affected are:

/SAPTRX/AOALLTAB

DD02L

DD02T

You can check if those tables have been created by opening a cmd.exe, stepping into your installation directory and doing a

find /N /I "<tablename>" *.TSK

If one of those tables has no "ok" entry then your installation media is incomplete/corrupt.

Hi,

Check the SAP Note - 709389.

or you can do one thing, but this is not suggested. Check in sapinst_dev_log file, in that you can see which files are stopped due to error. In that check for *.TSK check in that where .err is there change it to ok. Retry the installation it will be sucessful.

But once again i am telling that its not recommended. Hope the SAP Note will get you the solution

appreciating the solution you have given to me( i converted the err to ok in .tsk files)... it worked well and the installation went to 2nd step from databaseload (post processing) to oracle post load action....but here i got again some errors....which i am posting here......

Yes - that was expected.

The views are not created and hence you get follow up problems. If those views are not there the system will not run correctly. So the "solution" is: finding out why those tables have not been created on initial installation. Everything else will sooner or later lead to other problems - such as the one you see now actually.

The system is already hosed because you "circumvented" the error but you did not solve it by putting "ok" in the .TSK files.

I would start over - and if the same error comes again open an OSS call and let the support check why those tables are not created.

DD* tables are dictionary tables that have also content which is loaded. Since that content is not there your system will not come up. Just creating the tables won't help.

so what is the alternative except caling OSS for support ?? is there any trick to handle this?? Problem is i can not arrange the fresh CDs of SAP installation, and also SAP is not providing the same to me though i am a SD certified User.

What is the alternative to solve this ??? or shd i forget this installation ??

You can start from scratch (again) - and if the error is coming again check again the .TSK files. Maybe they provide more information. Since you changed them to "ok" it's now impossible to find out what went wrong.

And: a "certified consultant" is not automatically permitted to run SAP software on home PCs. IDES is only for licensed customers, not for individuals.

I am installling this at home pc for learning purpose only......

What i believe after a long effort that, My Cds might be corrupted and that is why i m getting this database problem. but i will not easily left the installation so easily...

The above problem is not "solved" -there is no way to solve it without reimporting the missing tables. You most likely set "ok" somewhere but this doesn´t solve (as you see now).

saplicense reads some tables - if the nametabs have not been completely generated (the dipgntab step) it won´t find it.

Hi,

I am installing SAP 4.7 on oracle. unfortunately the some media is corrupt and as a result there are some missing tables and views. one of the missing table is DD02T.

Can any one tell me from where i can get the DDL Statement (Table design)f or Tables used in SAP as for my example i am missing Table DD02T.

If i get this information, I can create those missing tables and this way will complete my installation.
