Dears,

In my system one job is running from a long time more than expected,I checked that its workprocess time is also increasing and at OS level its PID time is also continously increasing. Now I am not sure is this job something doing or not.

Please let me know how can i check that this job is doing something or not.

maybe the user chose bad selections, like show every single PO since 1992....

check in SM50 to see if this is hung on a single SQL request.

Hi Shiv,

Just ask the owner of the job, and confirm about. Then you can easily cancell the job through SM37 or SM50.

We can not identify the exact log what this job is going to do?

Check the job log before terminating that, you can find some information.

Hi Shivam,

You goto SM37 ...select that job which is running for long and from the menu select Job--> Check Status (This updates status to tables if it doesnt do before).

If still the job is running continuously and u want to actually see what the job is actually doing , u contact an ABAPer to come and trace it for u by Selecting Job-->Capture Active Job

Hi,

As this is the oracle forum, I assume that in SM50 you see that is accessing the Database.

If so, what you can do is use the transaction ST04 and check the oracle sessions. You have to find the session where the client matches the PID in SM50 and see if it is doing something there.
