Single order to multiple ship to for a customer

Can u please tell whether we can create a single order and deliver to multiple ship to with the same order no?

Hi,

Yes you can.

Just make sure that you have already assigned that ship to party to sold to party in customer master record.

In sales order, select the item line for which you want to give different ship to party and

Go to -Item - partner - Here change the ship to party and save the order.

Ship-to-party is an Item specific data in the SALES ORDER, that means for different items in the Sale order, you can have different Ship-to-parties.

First, in the customer master of the Sold-to-party, open in change mode(VD02), in the Sale area data > Partner function tab, add your multiple Ship-to-parties, save it.

Now, when you will create an Order for the Sold-to-party,system will give you a pop-up of the available Ship-to-parties from which you have to select one.

Whichever Ship-to-party you have selected, system will take that SH in the overview screen under SP and this Ship-to-party will apply automatically to all items in the Sale order by deafault 9which can be changed).

Next, you can go to the item deatails of the indivudual item, select "Partner" tab and overwrite/change the SH to a different SH you require. This new Ship-to-party must be one the SH assigned in the customer master of SP.

Remember Ship-to-party is not a header data in SALES ORDER, it is an item specific data.

It may be header level or item level in the Sales docuemnt, you can have only one "Partner" for one "Partner function".

That means, it may be header level or item level in SALES ORDER, you can have only one PARTNER (say C1) to perform Ship-to-party partner function unlike Customer master where you can have multiple partners for one Partner function.

Dear Raj

First create all those ship to parties in XD01 or VD01. Make a note of the customer codes after saving. Now go to XD02, input the sold to party customer code and execute. There go to Partner Functions tab in Sales Area Data and assign the above references.

Now you have to two options to achieve this.

- At header level, you can maintain only one ship to party customer code which means you can make deliveries only to this ship to party. Of course, at item level, if you maintain different ship to parties, then based on that ship to party, your delivery will split.

- The other option is based on ship to party, you can create one sale order each so that deliveries will also be generated accordingly.

Hey Laxmipati,

I have gone through the thread of having multiple ship-to in a sales order. I have one question.

When we go to the line Item for which we want to have a different ship-to party - there is an option in the bottom that says " Propose Alternatives: "

Now when u select a different ship-to-party there, it applies to the entire order even if it is done for that specific item.

But if we manually copy the ship-to-party and paste it there, it applies to the item only. Why is it so ?

Is there something wrong that I am doing. Can u shed some light on this issue ?

You can use the standard 0002 (Goods recepient) Account group for creating the Ship-to-party.

So create your Ship-to-party using this account group 0002.

Next, create the customer master for Sold-to-party using Account group 0001 in VD01 or XD01 by giving your Sale area.

In the Customer master of Sold-to-party, you can have multiple Ship-to-parties.

In the customer master of Sold-to-party , in the Sales area data > partner function tab, add those Ship-to-parties (you have just created.

Now Sold-to-party has more than 1 Ship-to-party

Whenever you will create an order for system will give you a pop-up of this list of Ship-to-party from where you can choose the required SH.
