Container-Varialbe not resolved in Alert-Inbox of Browser

Hi all,

i experience at the moment problem with XI alerting with

SPS16. The alert for a mapping error is triggered and

i can see it in the alert inbox (browser) and with tcode

alrtdisp.

But in tcode alrtdisp i can see container-variable, short

and long text, which i have defined in the corresponding

alert category, is beeing resolved correctly. In the

alert inbox (browser) i can only see an empty line with

no tile and category name.

The question is why is there difference display for the

same alert in alert inbox (browser) and tcode alrtdisp?

I have check all relevance oss note available for rwb but

there seem to be implemented in SPS16 already.

If i look into the detail desplay tab (in browser) i can

not see the long text i have entered in the alert

category. I have just entered a fixed text.

Also the test with the report rsalerttest show the same

result as the realistic alert with mapping error. The note

835031 which is mentioned often in other sdn thread is

already implemented in SPS16.

Hope somebody have an idea.

Hello Mr. Phu,

you might encounter a language problem. Please note that all detailed information for alert categories (describtion, long and short text) must be maintained in all used languages.

If you log on using SAP GUI with language DE and maintain the alert categorie, the above information is only available in DE. If you logon in EN from RWB these details won't be available.

Hello Mr. Stolz,

that is exactly the solution for my problem. My browser

was run in german so the text was not shown. After adding

the language english into the browser and place it to the

first range before german language the alert text and

category is display.
